The Hill

" Trump defends $110B US arms sale to Saudi Arabia

President Trump on Saturday, shortly after vowing to hand out a “severe punishment” to Saudi Arabia if it is found to have killed a missing dissident journalist, said he wants to preserve a $110 billion arms deal with the Saudi kingdom. "

...we must focus...there's money to be made in them thar arms deals...

...after the 'severe punishment' we'll invite the Saudis over for tea...

It's more about business or potential business between Trump and the Kingdom, as well as monies they have already given him through real estate sales and more. They bought a yacht off him to bail him out of millions in debt. Etc.

That supposed "arms deal" was "negotiated" right after Trump's inauguration in 2017. We're quickly closing in on two years since that "deal" was supposedly made. How long will Saudi Arabia dangle that carrot on a stick in front of Donnie and Jared? I think they're going to drag it out as long as possible, while in the meantime they'll violate human rights and murder people at will, always with the promise of that mythical "arms deal" that's just beyond reach. Trump will allow them to get away with anything because he wants to be "the president who sold the most weapons of death and destruction during their term". What's the life of one "enemy of the people" reporter versus the sale of $110 billion in U.S. antiquated weapons to Saudi Arabia? No biggie, right?

He's made it pretty clear that the media is his Public Enemy #1, and the fact that the Saudi's banned him for an article that he wrote about then President Elect. The Saudi's did him a favor.

This has been going on since Obama, it is nothing new. And it isn't even for the amount that the moron claimed. It is a bogus excuse...just like we expected.

And, if memory serves, the point was made that the way was cleared for a deal that large but the Saudis didn't have that much money in their coffers. Shocking that he's making it up. (Snark.)

I thought I heard that the Saudis couldn't afford the deal and went elsewhere for arms too. I only heard it that one time. Why isn't the more of the media following this pretty big lie and correct it with facts? The MSM is neglecting its duty a lot. Kanye is more interesting than boring facts about Climate Change. Unbelievable the priorities!?!
