Rep. Swalwell: Issue Saudis a 24-hour deadline to turn over Khashoggi alive or face severe sanctions

Rep. Eric Swalwell @RepSwalwell
On #Khashoggi:

1) The US should not send anyone to Saudi’s ‘Davos in the Desert’;

2) @realDonaldTrump should issue Saudis a 24-hour deadline to turn over Khashoggi alive or face severe sanctions;

3) Trump should task @fbi to leverage overseas partnerships to investigate

We're talking a hundred billion arms sale deal here! The Saudi prince could lop off Ivanka's head with a scimitar on 5th Avenue and not lose Trumpy's support.

Yeah, he will be livid if he finds out that the Saudis did it. He'll send Jared to 'very, very seriously' slap them on the wrist and tell them that as punishment they will have to buy another ten or twenty billion worth of armaments and send a larger delegation to stay at Trump Tower the next time they come to New York.

$100 billion is big money, but amounts to a very small portion of our total $19 trillion economy. And, if the arms don't get sold to the Saudis, I'm sure somebody else will buy them.

Trump just wants to sell to the Saudis because he & Jared probably get the best kickbacks from them.

The people elected him KNOWING he would not do the job. So, don't go expecting him to suddenly start presidentin'.

Not why he's there.
