I live in Tracy CA and commute to the Bay Area. I got to talking to a person who has a small Pet food shop and wondered what he thought about a growth initiative in my town. The measure is an exchange to allow builders to build houses in unincorporated areas if they set aside some housing for low income people. He says the market should allow what ever price people can get for the land and government should not interfere. I guess what kind of got me angry is when he said Obamma was secretly a Marxist. I asked him what a Marxist was but he couldn't answer. I tried to give him the parallels between the great depression and what had happened during the great recession but he really didn't understand that. He calls himself a Libertarian. I'll continue to buy my dog food there because he's a small businessman. Maybe as a small businessman if he ever had to do business with Trump he would change his tune.
