bombed. I would not be surprised if there were not some behind-the scenes back-stabbing, but when Gregory flamed out, he was the "obvious choice" (apparently).

Too intelligent and concerned about his image to be able to wholly adopt the arguments of today's Republican Party and what the right has become, too much with them not to elevate them and destroy Democrats if he can.
