6. In reality, of course, the Democratic Party has barely budged over the last several decades.

Meanwhile, the Republican Party has shifted drastically rightward. As always, Republicans say the opposite of the truth. And they control the narrative. Just as they've done with the "liberal media" bullshit for the last 40 years. It's proven highly effective.
