"I think He showed me about the next president, but I'm not supposed to talk about that so I'll leave you in the dark -- probably just as well -- but I think I know who it's gonna be," Robertson said Tuesday on the Christian Broadcasting Network's "700 Club."
Robertson then went on to recite the message he claimed to have been told by God. According to Robertson, God doesn't support President Barack Obama's agenda and says that only "overwhelming prayer" can bring a new leader who will stop the country from "disintegrating":

DES MOINES, Iowa (CNN) -
Ron Paul appeared to have slightly more support than Mitt Romney in GOP entrance polls taken minutes before Tuesday evening's Iowa caucuses -- the first contest in the 2012 presidential caucus and primary season.
Paul, a U.S. representative from Texas, had 24% support in the final entrance poll tallies, and Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, had 23% in the sampling of Iowa voters as they headed into their caucus sites throughout the state.
Former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania was at 19%, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich was at 13%. Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota were fifth and sixth in those polls, respectively.
The caucuses began at 7 p.m. in 809 locations .....................

Perry encouraged supporters to keep the faith in his national aspirations as his advisers cast the coming contest in South Carolina as the first real test of his presidential campaign. Before Iowans met at churches and schools to signal their preferences, Perry was downplaying the role of the traditional lead-off states.
"The idea that one or two states is going to decide who the next nominee for the Republican Party is just, you know, that's not reality," Perry told CNN before the caucuses began.
Perry's team planned events in South Carolina for Wednesday and hoped a jumbled pecking order would emerge from Iowa's caucuses. He also signaled that he saw the contest to oppose President Barack Obama as a two-man race between himself and Mitt Romney ..................

Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum and Ron Paul were in a tight, three-way race in the Iowa caucuses Tuesday night, based on partial returns in the opening vote of the 2012 Republican presidential campaign.
The results were a clear setback for a pair of candidates once expected to contend for the nomination Rick Perry and Newt Gingrich. Michele Bachmann, who won a high-profile Iowa straw poll last August, was a distant sixth and faces elimination from the race.

Going into tonight the idea was that Romney could come in first, second or maybe even third and still win. There was a decent logic to that. But as I hear the conventional wisdom taking shape, the result in practice (which could still quite likely be a numerical victory for Romney) seems considerably worse for Romney than one might have expected. It feels like a significant setback. In the big picture, still very hard to see how someone else gets the nomination. But a tie for first, which seemed like it would be still pretty good for Romney, doesnt look so good in the event.Given the above, the entire Republican establishment is going to be coming out in the next couple days to shut this down and say its Romney....

(44,576 posts)Now they say Santorum is up by four.
On the CBS page, it now says Santorum's up by four. But there are 1,765 of 1,774 Precincts Reporting when there were 1772.
I smell a squeaker by Romney.

(44,576 posts)@edhenryTV: Fox First: Rove reports RNC source says a mistake may have undercounted some Romney votes Developing
There is just one more precinct to report. CNNs Wolf Blitzer says theyll either be speaking with the captain of that precinct soon or finding out about that precinct through an interview with the chair of the Iowa state GOP.
Karl Rove, the votes counted in an undisclosed location, the Rethugs trying to force feed Romney -- all so terribly familiar...
ON EDIT: cbsjancrawford: Romney team says he won by 14 votes. Just talked to state party officials. About 17 minutes ago

Caucus Vote Counter Says Romney Mistakenly Given 20 Votes
http://www.kcci.com/news/30144582/detail.html
DES MOINES, Iowa -- ... a caucus of 50 people may just blow up the results.
Edward True, 28, of Moulton, said he helped count the votes and jotted the results down on a piece of paper to post to his Facebook page. He said when he checked to make sure the Republican Party of Iowa got the count right, he said he was shocked to find they hadn't.
"When Mitt Romney won Iowa by eight votes and I've got a 20-vote discrepancy here, that right there says Rick Santorum won Iowa," True said. "Not Mitt Romney."
True said at his 53-person caucus at the Garrett Memorial Library, Romney received two votes. According to the Iowa Republican Party's website, True's precinct cast 22 votes for Romney.
"This is huge," ......

As Lewis explains: "True said that there was one other mistake. The Iowa GOP reports there were a total of 79 votes cast at his caucus, but only 53 people attended that night, he said. He said 20 of the non-existent votes went to Romney, but he has no idea where they counted an additional 6."
Well, we've figured out where those "additional 6" seem to come from. True's hand-written tally [see graphic at right] fails to include former Louisiana Governor Buddy Roemer who, according to the GOP's numbers seen above, received 6 votes at the Washington Wells caucus. Those 6, plus the alleged extra 20 given to Romney, would bring the total number of votes to 79. That still fails to explain the difference, however, between True's assertion of 53 voters, versus the GOP's reported 79.
Other than the missing Roemer tally and the Romney discrepancy, all of True's numbers appear to match the GOP's. ...........
