The Ryan budget may not contain the deepest cut vets have ever had, but in his case the $11 billion proposed cut in vets benefits is a deep cut at a time when vets need more funding for VA. Of course R & R probably support profitizing the VA. Even worse there has been chatter that even vets health benefits should have vouchers for private insurance.
I cannot think of a single health care company that would want to sell vets any kind of insurance policy. They are uninsurable on the free market. Bush and Rumsfeld even thought about contracting out the military MASH units in Iraq and Afghanistan. How would triage work is a for profit company was deciding who to save. Now that is a real death panel in operation.
We can plainly see who R $ R are really all about. You can see the same with the GOP. And they are the patriots.
Sadly it looks like the VFW and Legion will support R $ R and not Obama. I was speaking to a retired colonel who was telling me that both organizations are super RW'ingers. In many of their eyes Obama is a communist.

(2,716 posts)I had an email about this today from their organization. They speak for veterans far more than the VFW or the Legion. I think they will be a force in this election.
