A friend received this letter today. LOL! I actually think this is a funny idea that might be effective.

(94,889 posts)When I was a Ward Committeeman in 1980, I had street lists of every voter, and I tallied people as they showed up to vote.

(7,725 posts)to be on them correctly, or they are "bad ballots" or whatever and put aside. That's FAR too much info for my liking. In my area, someone throwing away a Dem ballot would be viewed w an elbow, wink and snicker. After dt, I count NOTHING out, and neither should you. Respectfully. That's my experience though. Everyone's different obviously.

(9,879 posts)I used to do the same thing. Late afternoon all those who hadn't voted yet on the Dem list would get a call: Hi, Millie. We see you haven't voted yet. We really need you. When are you going out to vote? Do you need a ride?
And more often then not, they'd get their coat on and go vote.
