When I was a Ward Committeeman in 1980, I had street lists of every voter, and I tallied people as they showed up to vote.

We know you vote for Obama and Hillary and Bill And Kerry and Gore...and we are here to pull you OUT of your house, and tar and feather you.

to be on them correctly, or they are "bad ballots" or whatever and put aside. That's FAR too much info for my liking. In my area, someone throwing away a Dem ballot would be viewed w an elbow, wink and snicker. After dt, I count NOTHING out, and neither should you. Respectfully. That's my experience though. Everyone's different obviously.

I used to do the same thing. Late afternoon all those who hadn't voted yet on the Dem list would get a call: Hi, Millie. We see you haven't voted yet. We really need you. When are you going out to vote? Do you need a ride?

And more often then not, they'd get their coat on and go vote.

Both the letter and what you describe. If you knocked on my door and told me that, your odds of making it off my property would depend on if I had shoes on.

Is it really that creepy or is it just unnerving for some people to be held accountable for their actions?

I like the word so, I use it. Thanks though. Good to know I suppose. Some words fit for me...like that one, here. Happy Halloween.

to find out exactly how much of what they think of as their "personal" information is actually a matter of public record, accessible to anyone for any reason.

I’m in NC, live on a rural road, so it’s pretty obvious who is who.

I was not amused, and I think it’s creepy as hell.
