(23,099 posts)canvassing, poll watching during Early Voting and will be taking the afternoon shift at pollwatching in a precinct that had issues last time on election day. I can do this now that I'm retired. I've also been donating small amounts when I could, writing letters, calling officials & signing petitions. I'm now going to get training so I can train new volunteers on phone banking software.

I have donated to a few PACs such as Emily's List.
I donated to Stacey Abrams campaign.
I voted a straight blue ticket last week.
I will be an election judge on the 6th.
I did not write postcards and I'm embarrassed about it. I only found out about the Move-On texting a few days ago. I hope to participate this weekend. I may see what I can do for Abrams.
I've had a rough year and I just couldn't get into it. Mom died, aunt died, cousin died, cat died. I'm just burned out.

(63,912 posts)our dining room table and phone to do it. She has a stack of lists of voters phone numbers to call. She works the polls handing out ballots on election day. My hubby used to do this but the city imposed new training that involved his attending a class downtown. He explained that he had been helping at the polls for YEARS and didn't need any special training and he was too disabled to get down there for training, but they were insistent so he regretfully had to give up his position.
It's too bad because he enjoyed seeing all our neighbors who came to vote.
It was sad for him. I feel sorry for him...
