(39,343 posts)As long as the voters claim their right to vote, Kemp is truly fucked.
Do you feel it? The tide is turning and we're about to end trump's reign of error.

(1,020 posts)Then the nonwhites in GA, reeling from all of the "get off the polls! " dirty tricks he's played, will rebel. And not in a diplomatic way.
If someone stole the rights of whites to vote, would they be all nice about it? HELL NO. (Sorry to shout...)
There is a good chance of a civil war in Georgia. And if one starts, we all know Kemp fomented it.

(17,067 posts)Just hope it doesn't give Kemp a reason to sue in court! To hold up final vote outcome!

(801 posts)Sounds great, but...... The exact signature or name match didn't necessarily flag them as non-citizens. Does this ruling cover everyone that would have been thrown out for any reason ?????

(12,684 posts)Kobach's Crosscheck is notorious for mass pinging on common Hispanic or Middle Eastern names where there could have been one or two non-citizens who have been picked up by the law in that state, then throwing out everyone with those names. They can filter Crosscheck enough to target districts that they've determined that "non-citizen" may reside in, and winnow out as many people with anything similar to a non-citizen with the name of, say, "Jose F. Fernandez" they choose - no matter what the F stood for. Your driver's license says Jose Francisco Fernandez, Jose F. Fernandez, Sr. and/or Jr., Jose Ferdinand Fernandez, J. F. Fernandez, John Frank Fernandez - y'all live in the same district, y'all get purged as a suspected non-citizen.
The "felon" roles are run pretty much the same, also. In certain States, the registrars of voters would often just pick a first name and a president's name, check to see if anyone nearby had served time, then run Crosscheck and pull everyone with anything similar to that name, forcing them to go through all the effort to prove they weren't "that guy" and get off the list before grudgingly allowing them to vote. Sometimes, they'll even go outside the state to "match" names just to depress the minority vote and disenfranchise as many people as they can.
