I'm in Southern Illinois and well aware of the dynamic in Missouri. I am also a farmer living in a very red area and always outnumbered at the grain elevator trust me. Never ceases to amaze me the pretzels all the self professed christians will twist themselves into to defend hideous Trump. I'm not as optimistic about human nature as you I guess, it seems to me most of the people I'm in contact with, while uneducated as you say, are also willfully ignorant and they are Trumpers because of his virulent racism and hatefulness not in spite of those qualities. It speaks to the worst parts of their own characters and their fears. They love that he's so caustic and offensive to "libruls".
