5. For me, Kentuck, the real "enemies of the people" are...

the morality-free billionaires that fund this entire Republican system and their "vast right-wind conspiracy" (Clinton quote). Money and power can corrupt the very best of us.

If it weren't for their funding of campaigns, right-wing TV and radio and hundreds of conservative think tanks, the entire Repug Party would have been in the dustbin decades ago. That will only get worse because economic inequality is getting worse by the minute.

Big money can always drag along all the leaders and supporters it wants, of many stripes and aspirations. Just follow the money.

And, they all cleverly hide from public view.......

With that said, there are a lot of god investigative journalists who work for that corporate controlled media. The good reporters have done more to uncover crime than our complacent/complicit justice system at times.

As much as I bash our corporate controlled M$M I understand that a free press is mentioned in our Constitution as being necessary for the survival of our democracy, however, the key word is "free."

We would have a much better system if the money was out of politics.

I almost dropped my subscription to my local newspaper in central Pa. It added a column by hate mongerer Ann Coulter. I did go into their office and lodge a complaint, but I mean they have to print right wing lies because that's who buys their papers.

When the Fairness Doctrine was abolished and Citizens United took its place our country took a bad swing to the right. How sad; money=speech and corporations are people.
