The KKK and other racists and made it impossible for them to go inside the GOP. He denounced Ayn Rand, anti semiticism, George Wallace. While he was initially for segregation as a temporary matter in the 50's came to regret not doing more and admired Dr. King and supported a holiday in his honor.
Buckley and other "Classical Liberals" should not be confused with these monsters today.
