Live in an upper middle class part of Grand Rapids, MI. My area regularly polls close to 50-50 Rep vs Dem. My anecdotal evidence for a Blue Wave was the incredible number of women standing in line. 3 or 4 female voters for every male one. And most of them under 40. I've never seen anything close to it, the minute I got in line it was obvious that mostly women were in line. As I got inside, same thing and I started to count, about 3 or 4 to 1 was correct.
Another thing, at my polling station, 2 wards vote, I used to live in the other ward, more blue collar to lower middle class, moved to the nicer neighborhood now, home values probably double on average. My ward was on ballot 137, the more blue collar lower middle class ward was on ballot 500 when I left.
If women voted in the numbers I saw across the country, this wave will be unlike anything we've ever imagined.

(19,066 posts)Here's something I noticed. All of the names that appear first on the ballot were Republicans, hat's an advantage, I accidentally colored in one of those boxes.
Also, the ballot proposals were on the back of the ballot, they weren't giving instructions to make sure to turn the ballot over. Also, there weren't clear instructions on how to fill out the ballot, the guy in front of me made Xs in the boxes and had to fill out a second ballot.
Reps are fighting democracy at every turn, they don't want people to vote and when they vote they want it to be confusing.

(31,261 posts)I caught the party layout and paid attention. I only made one mistake on an amendment, I voted against when I intended to vote for, BUT on the Florida board, there was a lot of debate on that amendment with people being seemingly split, so I left the mistake and had my votes counted.
