Democrats Need to Defend President Obama's Record More

In researching President Obama's economic numbers as a result of Eric Trump claiming President Obama was trying to take credit for Donald Trump's accomplishments I came upon a factcheck.org website that listed the results of President Obama time in office. Those number are very impressive. Democrats need to tout those numbers every chance they get.

did enough of that. Tout his accomplishments nearly as much as they should have been doing.

But if you're going to be very honest about it, President Obama really never touted his successes nearly enough. It's only now that he's attempting to set the record straight on this foolishness about how great tRump has this economy humming along. I'll tell you something, Dems better start like yesterday sounding the ALARM on these 3 tax cuts for the rich which is going to spiral the deficit out of control to the tune of about $1 TRILLION dollars come 2020. We know that thuglicans can LIE their sole less asses off, because look at h ow they're saying that they were always for the ACA even though they voted 70 times to repeal it with nary a replacement in SIGHT. That's still the case NOW as of November 2018. McSally, lying Scott Walker and other thuglicans said that they were for protecting pre-existing which we know is a got damn lie. And we know fatso-in-chief stays lying about everything with his fat, treasonous self. Anyway, we know that our mostly corporate "Both sides do it too" media will get in behind thuglicans saying that Dems ran up these massive deficits, or that they're responsible for cutting x, y, and z programs as a way of dealing with this oncoming huge deficit by 2020 because Dems always have to clean up thuglican deficit messes. But Dems better nip that shit in the but now in head of 2020, because like I said thuglicans/fatso will be lying like giant rugs and saying that DEMS are responsible for the staggering $1 TRILLION dollar and perhaps MORE amount of deficits that are coming like a freight train in 2020.

They pissed off a lot of Democratic voters by trying to run from Obama, when they SHOULD have been out there telling the truth that the stimulus bill had cut taxes for 95% of the population and that the economy was turning around. To me, they also should have been reminding people that the Republicans at the time had just wrecked the economy two years earlier. It is beyond belief to me why this country would have voted for ANY Republican after what they did in 2007-08.

I just didn't expect it to be the first post.

President Obama worked his ass off and it shouldn't have been left up to him to do the heavy lifting AND constantly talk about the heavy lifting he was doing. That's OUR job. And many of us failed.

There was nothing stopping the base from stepping up and fighting for him, but instead, we stood around watching him do the work, second-guessing him at every turn and now beat up on him for not doing a better job bragging about how awesome he was.

I'm not having it.

Neither am I.

I'm not saying that he didn't tell us to vote. HE did. I voted, everybody else I know voted. But you had a problem with Dems in general who couldn't be bothered to show up to vote that year and here came the Tea Party who we don't hear from now at all. Dems NOT showing up to vote in mid-terms is shameful.

I'm standing by what I'm saying and it's that Pres. Obama didn't give HIMSELF enough credit. He's surely doing it now, and getting roundly criticized by thuglicans who lie on him and misrepresent his record. GOOD that he's touting all of what he did to turn this country around from the disaster he inherited from Bush/Cheney/thuglicans/Supreme Court. He deserves to put his record out there and talk all he wants to about his accomplishments, which he made happen with NO help from thuglicans at all. NONE. He'll never get credit from thuglicans for anything, and we knew he wouldn't. But there wouldn't have been anything wrong with HIM talking himself up MORE, because he had facts to back himself up. tRump's out there lying and taking credit for an economy he's about to TANK thanks to those higher than high deficits he's running up which he/thuglicans will blame on Dems in 2020 in head of the GE. tRump's only trying to erase Pres. Obama's legacy because Pres. Obama's black. I'm SO happy to FINALLY see/hear Pres. Obama out there on the campaign trail going toe to toe with that fat, treasonous, lying hog. And of course, thuglicans are criticizing Pres. Obama for stating FACTS of his improved economy that they had nothing to do with. PBO's bringing up the fact that thuglicans never wanted pre-existing and are LYING about wanting Americans other than themselves to have health care period, I LOVE IT.
