yeah, so he's gay... big deal... what's this need some people have on here needing to always point that out...
just call him a repug

(959 posts)be they black, hispanic, white, poor, or women.
But we don't use those qualifiers the same way your using log cabin.
brush
(53,778 posts)I guess next you'll say the repugs embrace and enact policies that are beneficial to the LBGTQ community.
Wake up.
when you describe ben Carson do you say Black ben Carson did this or that.
Or Anna Nevarro ? Hispanic republican women Anna...
Octogenarian white Steve votes for....
Jennie, a women voted for...
You might think saying log cabin republican is a cute and nifty zing, but its light homophobia. just because someone is gay does not automatically mean they are locked into your exact mindset.
-source: Im gay. Just because someone does not have the same exact ideas you have does not mean they are a traitor to 'their people'. We are all complex, and referring to the lowest common denominator when finding fault is tacky as hell.
brush
(53,778 posts)call them black repugs so people know what sellouts they are, same with log cabin repugs.
Now go away.
912gdm
(959 posts)and then tried to defend that while introducing other minorities by saying ' black republican' while not using a jest.
you introduced soft homophobia with the 'log cabin' as a qualifier and defend that by saying 'black republican'. When we know full well the black qualifier in days gone past were horrific words I won't post here now.
I won't go away, because I won't deal with homophobia and gay slurs on a democratic site.
Sorry, Mary.
brush
(53,778 posts)as black repugs do, sell out their own communities.
Do you now finally have it straight?
Do you understand?
It's not rocket science.
Now go back to whatever site you came from.
912gdm
(959 posts)he could be Steve Kornacki, MSNBC, who seems to be republican.
But you choose to call him a log cabin republican. Honestly, I dont know what his sexual preference has to do with his job on MSNBC to comment on elections.
BTW you are using Log Cabin repug as a negative. Will you say Uncle Tom Carson? How about Maid Navarro?
And is there some clip where he says he is a 'log cabin republican' ? or is this just an ongoing talking point to stear a narrative AKA fake news.
brush
(53,778 posts)The OP was about him seeming to relish talking about Dem loses.
I mentioned that he is a log cabin repug because WHAT THE FUCK IS ANYONE FROM THE LBGTQ COMMUNITY DOING BELONGING TO A PARTY THAT CONTINUALLY LEGISLATES AGAINST THEIR INTERESTS, just as I mention black repugs as well who sellout.
Now try to pull the wool from over your eyes and out of your ears as you leave. Your concern is noted.
912gdm
(959 posts)in turn you called me dense and silly.
says volumes.
brush
(53,778 posts)I will follow your soft homophobia.
Later Mary.
brush
(53,778 posts)Fine! msg me your a/s/l.
Yeah im gay. And im half buzzed and dont even know what we are arguing about except Steve K. I just dont think its cool to point that out as a negative cuz the other side will pick that up
