She's the woman who was driven close to the edge when assigned to mind Sarah Palin in '08. Both she and Steve Schmidt seem to be principled straight shooters. They've both left the party over Trump and they were obviously both very high up in the R political elite. They could have jumped on the woo train and made coal coal cars full of money by holding their noses and keeping their mouths shut.

4. I think that they are both moderate Republicans who were drawn to McCain for

idealist reasons. Palin destroyed it for them and add Trump and the tea party etc etc.

2. I think the Palin rhetoric in 2008 was the

beginning of the end for her staying in the RNC. She's still conservative, but she seems to have accepted certain realities that democrats prioritize, like treating everyone humanely. She's pretty smart politically.
