When I lived there, Brad Henry, a democrat, essentially won the governorship against Steve Largent, a popular former representative and former football player, because Largent (who was ahead by double digits at the time) cursed during a TV interview causing his fellow evangelical voters to swoon on their fainting couches with the vapors.
