yes, i know recent polls and forecasts had us picking up even more seats.
but let's keep it in perspective.
back in the early part of this decade, when the republican-gerrymandered maps went into effect, many analysts said it would be impossible for democrats to win the house, period, until the next census.
we did it!
and even a one-seat majority is enough to win all the committee chairs and start investigations into the massive criminal wrongdoing on the part of donnie and his gang.

(22,569 posts)Each and every Democrat elected will count towards the Democrats controlling that house of Congress along with its agenda and power. I hope the Left can manage to better grasp this concept.

Those internecine fights gained us nothing but division in the party, certainly not seats in Congress or state legislatures.
By all means we need to go after repug seats.
