(176 posts)That had only three (3!) polling machines available to use, and other places where they had more machines to use, but *somehow* didn't have the power cords available to use (for hours on end).
It's almost become a new poll tax - make people decide between losing 3-4 hours of work (and therefore 3-4 hours of pay) and HOPEFULLY being able to vote (if you're still on the voter rolls when you get up to the front of the line), or not standing in line for half of a workday (or more) and getting that pay.
Election day needs to be a PAID national holiday, or we need to have EARLY national voting (in CT there is ZERO early voting).

(23,097 posts)This one was a theft in full sight, there's no question he stole it, however i thought the 53,000 people who had mail in ballots rejected had some period of time (a week? after the election) to go and show their ID and get their vote counted. Is there any hope that this will change the results?
