(10,533 posts)I couldn't be happier about the NY State Senate especially. Finally all the progressive bills that passed the Assembly but couldn't make it to the floor of the State Senate have a real chance. New York is true blue.

(82,383 posts)We spend too much time thinking about the top. But these state legislatures have a lot to do with the gerrymandering. This can help a lot.

(1,936 posts).... even with the super gerrymandered the GOP goons put in place after 2010. Dems won every statewide judicial seat and now have a 5-2 majority on the NC Supreme Court.
More good things will come .... feeling better about 2020, redistricting etc.

(57,435 posts)Democratic gains at the state level are the most important, and most easily overlooked. 333 legislative seats, 7 new govs, 6 trifectas. Helps rebuild the farm team, cements advantage in reapportionment, and provides Ds a pathway in 2020 with PA, WI, MI gains.
