but who is going to stop him. He has the Senate and the SCOTUS in his pocket.

The only thing I can see is NY AG goes after trump when he is out of office.

We have no power over trump without the Senate convicting him.

And trump will not comply and we go to the SCOTUS and we lose there too.

The only thing that can stop trump is enough Repubs with a backbone. They don’t exist.

Did this become a thing in politics? I mean there has always been some backroom dealings and some shenanigans or whatnot, but whenever has it been normal to talk about a sitting President trying to blackmail the Democrats if they come at him with their own investigations?

The best I can see is we win big in 2020 and trump is indicted out of office.
