When Trump realizes his best option is to resign, he will do it.

Trump is a one trick pony. He is like a broken record. He does the same routines over and again. He fights until he sees he cannot win and then he looks for a way out.

Trumps best option will be a pardon from Pence.

Trump resign? I just don’t see it. He does look kinda red in the face, though. He has a “unhealthy glow.” Not saying I’d want anything to happen to him. I never wish I’ll on others. Not even Trump.

I'd be expecting a 3:30 a.m. tweet from one of his "friend's" private jet after a last late-night gorging out on a tray of Big Macs and fries delivered from the Mickey-D's off I-95 just north of Arlington. This, after Jarad gets his subpoena.
Melanie and Barron will be left at Drump's Dump to muddy things up while he's making his getaway - with or without Ivanka.

I hope you are right about Trump feeling the heat and quitting. And it might be very soon too
especially if Don Jr* gets indicted.

5. Why
Thu Nov 8, 2018, 11:38 AM
Nov 2018

His best course would be to fire everybody he views as a danger and issue blanket pardons for everyone including himself.

Why would you ever give up the best hand in the game (the Presidency of the United States)?

He stands a good chance of even getting reelected in spite of all this. Anybody watching the 2018 election can see that.

I can't remember which Jack Ryan movie it was, but one of the CIA administrators took a letter out of a wall safe (I think it was authorization for action) from the President and taunted Jack Ryan for not having one.

Putin needs the US to continue to legitimize him on the world stage, and trump was promised a lifetime job like Xe. Pence just doesn't have the same ability to mobilize the nut jobs.

I could see Trump declaring his presidency the greatest success in history and choosing not to run because he would claim there was a massive conspiracy against him that would steal the election. But I could also see him running and losing and claiming the same thing.

Our expectations of the outcome of the Mueller investigation will be are so sky-high that many will be disappointed if Trump is not marched off to prison in an orange jumpsuit. I think we've all lived long enough to realize that just because you really, really want something to happen doesn't mean it will. How many were confident that Bush and Cheney were going to be frog marched to
The Hague?

The WH correspondents did precious little to press his buttons (though they certainly intentionally pressed his buttons) and he completely lost his shit.

He's frightened, unbalanced, and unhappy. If his piece of shit son actually gets indicted, I don't know what that's going to portend. Maybe he eventually will quit. But it's going to get a little dicey going forward here.
