Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was hospitalized early Thursday morning after fracturing three ribs during a fall in her office Wednesday night, the court said.
Ginsburg, 85, was admitted to George Washington University Hospital early this morning for observation and treatment.
A statement from the court said that Ginsburg returned home Wednesday night but went to the hospital early Thursday after experiencing discomfort overnight. She called court police to take her there before dawn.

(28,340 posts)by the fact that she didn't feel the need for hospitalization immediately with the fall. It wasn't until later in the night that her discomfort sent her in. That's a fairly good sign we can all take hope from. Believe it or not many people can fracture ribs and not know it until much later. She must follow instruction, do her rehab and most of all avoid pneumonia.
If anybody can come through this with aplomb, it's RBG.

My second thought was, "Who pushed her?" And I hate that the question is not without merit in the time of Trump.
