Florida Senate race: Scott 50.095%, Nelson 49.905%.

The margin between them is 0.19%. That will definitely trigger a full hand recount.

Normally I would say that the margin has to be less than .1 in order for a recont to make a difference. In this case I think there is still hope for two reasons.

First, there are still provisional votes coming in.

Second, there appears to be an undercount of votes for senator in Broward County when compared to votes for other statewide races.

I still think the odds favor Scott, but I also think that we have a decent shot to win this one.

Either way, the Florida Republicans have once again showed themselves to be reprehensible people who do not believe in democracy. Rick Scott and Marco Rubio have attacked Democrats simply for wanting to make certain that all votes are counted. And, of course, they have sought to cover that fact up by lying about the what is happening.

3. The most important thing was to get the margin under 0.25%.

That means that the recount will be done by hand, rather than by machine.
