"They told me to be afraid of immigrants. They told me to be afraid of Muslims. They told me to be afraid of transgender people. They told me to be afraid of the caravan. They told me to be afraid of the people who say that black lives matter. But it's not those people shooting up schools, yoga studios, IHOPs, churches, bars, music festivals, movie theaters, and on and on. It's us. It's people who look like me. It doesn't mean we're bad as a whole, it just means maybe those groups shouldn't have been turned into demons."
I think if just one person were to say something like this on TV, it would be something. Kind of telling that it's absent from the dialogue.
