Pointed tweet by Rep. Eric Swalwell regarding our "national embarrassment"

Rep. Eric Swalwell
‏Verified account

Trump’s European Vacation was as bad as the movie. He wimped out of honoring our fallen troops because of a misting. He moped around in his hotel room and insulted fire victims. And he was scorched by the French President. This is not winning. This is a national embarrassment.

Besides, Macron's wife is more human, more sophisticated, more poised, more genuine, and more 'hot' than Malibu Barbie even though she's older than her husband. And we don't care what she's wearing. Malibu Barbie will never rank as one of the top first ladies of all time. She's got that stick stuck too far up her a$$ to ever be best or anywhere close to it.

And I preferred the later hours, I'm in New York but I mostly dealt with the West Coast. Though I rarely left when I was supposed to, I always knew I couldn't be like the ones I saw occasionally, coming in at dawn if I was still there. I never dealt well with early mornings.

The last decent Republican president.

Some give Poppy Bush that dubious distiction; but I beg to differ.

He nowhere near as craven as his son; but he did mislead Saddam into invading Kuwait (through Amb. April Glaspie), for sheer political advantage.

Ford wouldn't have done that.

Cheeto? He probably brings up the idea every goddamed day.

In Flanders field's the poppies blow,
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place, and in the sky,
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead; short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow.
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe !
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; Be yours to hold it high !
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Kamala Harris and Eric Swalwell are both from California. Constitution states that both the Pres and VP can't be from the same state. Of course, this didn't stop Dick "Darth Vader" Cheney from running as W's VP, he just claimed that he was a citizen of Wyoming, even though he had lived and voted, paid taxes, etc. in Texas for years prior to 2000. Since Congress was in Republican hands at the time, nothing was done to punish this unconstitutional violation.

A shame that both of them couldn't be on the same ticket. They're both excellent choices.

Maybe Harris/O'Rourke? We're gaining in bench strength, for sure, though! Probably would help to have a governor or former governor on the ticket, too, if there's a senator on there.
