for NOT raising his hand in the Nazi salute or even laughing.
He's the boy in the top right hand corner. The link below also contains a close up -- and Jordan looks so sad.
Thank you, Jordan, for being strong and not going along with the joke!

Gust was adamant that he did not intend for the boys to issue any kind of salute.
I didnt tell them to salute anything, he said. There was none of that that was taken at that point in time that it was a salute of any kind. It was waving goodbye to their parents (and) having a good time. High five. There was nothing that diminished the quality of anyones life. There was nothing that diminished anyones stature in society, there was nothing that was intended to point a finger at anyone in their class who may have some kind of difference. There was none of that.
One of the students in the photo says thats not how he remembers it.
No he didnt instruct students to wave goodbye to their parents, said Jordan Blue, a BHS student who can be seen in the photo not participating in the salute, in a Facebook message to Madison365. Blue said Gust only told the group to raise one hand for a photo.
Which doesnt give a bunch of teenagers a lot of guidance on how to raise their hands, Blue said, adding that no matter what Gust instructed, he felt at the time that many of the boys were intentionally doing a Nazi salute. I felt upset, unsafe, disappointed and scared. I felt unsafe because I go to school with them, I dont believe in what they represented and the symbol they shared
they knew it was wrong, but they still did it.

(2,067 posts)Is actual news that hard to come by?
There are 300+ million people in this country. With those numbers, there are probably thousands of fools giving the Nazi salute on any given day. There are entire websites dedicated to love of all things Nazi.
Why is this photo news?

(108,978 posts)And I think Jordan Blue is correct that this isn't just a problem with his high school -- it could have happened at many high schools in the country. And we should be asking WHY.

(2,067 posts)We cannot possibly legislate away, protest away, or shame away every bigoted thought from the brains of each and everyone of America's 300 million plus residents.
We dont, and frankly shouldnt, have that much control over how individual citizens behave, no matter how stupid that individual behavior is.
Fretting because I heard one of Americas tens of millions of teenagers might be racist is frankly a fruitless exercise when meanwhile the fraud in the White House is stacking the Supreme Court. We have bigger fish to fry than some punk kids.

(4,873 posts)This isn't one individual. If you read more on it, there are reports coming in from other students, consistently since this "news" broke out, that there are some serious racism issues going on at that school.
I for one think it's news, how abhorrent some school administration reactions to this and other incidences are.
They are coming out of the woodwork, these white power cultist creep f*heads. It's better now than in another ten years when so many more would be victim to them.
As many have said in response to this, it's not the only school administration looking the other way.
On an end note, I give Jordan Blue serious credit for standing up for what he believes is right. It's kids like him who are the promise of a better tomorrow.
It should be on the front page.
