John Brennan on North Korea’s Expanding Missile Program: Kim Jong Un ‘Masterful’ in How He ‘Duped’ Trump

In light of the recent news about North Korea’s ballistic missile program, former CIA director John Brennan says Kim Jong-Un managed to fool Donald Trump during their Singapore summit earlier this year.

As Brennan spoke to Morning Joe on Tuesday about the president’s latest antics, Willie Geist brought up the recent reports of new satellite images which suggest the North Koreans are still developing their missile capabilities at multiple hidden bases.

Geist remarked on how Trump likes to say that his administration is making great progress in resolving the North Korea issue, but the way Brennan sees it, “the only thing that has changed over the last year is the escalatory rhetoric.”

“I know Mr. Trump has said that the summit in Singapore was a great success. I have not seen any success at all,” Brennan said. “I think Kim Jong-Un has really been masterful in terms of how he has duped Mr. Trump.”

Trump. If Kim over-prepared for Trump, it could only have been just to make sure all contingencies were covered.
