On edit, I was wrong. Another DUer pointed out it is there, findable only if you search for it in the search bar: https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/presidential-proclamation-veterans-day-2018/ Not on the homepage, unlike in past administrations, nor is there a press briefing area anymore that I could find.
Original message:
Beyond not going out in the rain to honor WWI veterans in France, and not going to Arlington National cemetery or even sending VP Pence, Trump's White House website does not even have a proclamation or any acknowledgment at all of Veterans' Day.
I hadn't been on the site in a while but the entire press briefing section is gone-- no press releases, press briefings, photos, videos, nothing at all. Just sections touting his policies on the economy, military etc. No contact button. Nothing.
This is a disgrace to all veterans and beyond that, to all Americans. I am equally concerned about the lack of transparency.

(19,060 posts)Trump wanted his military parade for this week where he could be honored. The military told him no so hes pouting.

(14,966 posts)I'd like veterans who still support the GOP to explain that decision, because Trump and the GOP are transparently exploitive of the military for political purposes then turn around and sh*t on vets every chance they get.

(10,252 posts)Oh boy, is he ever going to show all that fake news gang. He don't need them. He'll just starve them of his sparkling personality and heroic deeds and tremendous policies that make America great again.

(23,224 posts)You CANNOT expect him to take time away from his "executive time" admiring himself in the mirror to do something like honoring troops, do you? After all, he likes the ones who don't get captured--or killed.

(42,700 posts)If you search "Veterans" on whitehouse.gov you can find it:

It's typically the case that the proclamation is issued prior to Veteran's Day.

(9,535 posts)In past presidencies this was always on the front of the homepage, as well as in press briefing areas. Still shows their priorities are off, but if moderators want to lock this thread that would be appropriate since I was in error.
