us he insult of pretending that he gives a damn about veterans, alive or dead. the cemetaries would have needed a hazmat team had he actually gone to either of them.

I agree with you.

Looks bad internationally. It's an insulting, disrespectful disgrace that harms the country. Naturally, I would prefer that did not happen.

But I think my family's veterans would prefer Trump did not preside over such a ceremony.

Feel free, though, to mention to any veterans you know that you're disappointed (more in sorrow than in anger) in the President for blowing off even his most mechanistic symbolic duties. A five mile drive to Arlington to walk a wreath ten paces to the tomb of the unknown soldier while the video rolls and the cameras snap away. Hell, you could even do it wearing one of those T-Rex costumes. Instead, Trump sits in bed, rage-tweeting and pouting.
