Concessions, Recounts, and the Media

Just a few ideas on how to avoid this whole mess. I'm not saying that I am necessarily pushing these ideas or that I think it would be easy to put these in place, as some wouldno doubt require changes to the Constitution.

First some questions I have had about these things.

1) I am getting to old to be emotionally jerked around by watching the returns on election night. Theoretically, the outcome has already been decided at the polls. Why?

2}How come the first Tuesday in November? (that is a rhetorical question and no reply is necessary) Also, just because we are in the21st century (At least that is what I had assumed before 2016) in an age of instant information, who says there has to be a decision announced by the media as soon as the polls close?

To avoid these problems I think it just may be necessary to jump through some possibly "arbitrary" hoops. So please bear with me.

3) Why not spread the tabulation out for the entire month of Nov. (or there abouts)

idea 1)all tabulations should be "secret" until complete. To provide some "transparency" or check , each candidate would appoint a number (5, 10?) of monitors to be present during the tabulation and document any problems. The tabulations will be kept within the room until all counties have finished counting. During this time, each county could automatically run recounts where appropriate.

No lawsuits or concessions necessary. Just Count The Damn
votes!

idea 2) Come to think of it, that is it.
