3. I am confused. If they just convened the GJ how are they going to be handing down

indictments after one day? I mean I suppose you put Cohen under oath and he testifies for a day and then the SC closes his case and asks for indictments but WTH?

I would seem more probable that this will take days, maybe weeks, or has this GJ been hearing testimony for weeks already....

6. ah, that makes sense, I thought they convened them by defendant or one crime gigs

present evidence and cut them loose, then bring in a new group of folks so you don't keep on GJ wrapped up in cases for months and months.

9. Grand Juries are convened for 18 months

There are two types - general grand juries that take all crimes in the district during their term. And special grand juries that are convened for a specific group of complicated crimes, such as taking down an organized crime family. I suspect this is a special grand jury, but I haven't seen anything to confirm that.
