Why is a Jeb Bush appointee still allowed to recount votes in Florida?

Florida election supervisor at center of GOP attacks has history of controversy

Recounts for razor-thin Florida midterm races

West Palm Beach, Florida CNN Republicans in Florida and nationally who are trying to paint the statewide recount as a Democratic effort to steal the election have zeroed in on one woman as the face of the effort: Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes.

As votes are recounted in Florida's Senate, governor and agriculture commissioner races, Snipes, a Democrat, has been the target of repeated and direct attacks from Republicans up and down Florida. Former Gov. Jeb Bush, the man who first appointed her to the post, called for her to step down on Monday. Gov. Rick Scott, whose Senate race is central to the recount, sued her and has used her as a foil for days. And dozens of supporters of President Donald Trump outside of Snipes' office in Broward County, some holding signs labeling her the "Supervisor of Corruption," have personally vilified her.

Snipes has kept a low profile through much of it, but even Democrats in Florida admit the criticism is not entirely without reason: Broward County's elections office has been hampered by controversies for years and Snipes has been plagued by questions of bias for much of her tenure. And with Republicans leading in the state's two top races -- Senate and gubernatorial -- members of the party from the President on down are clearly eager to besmirch Snipes, and the entire recount, in the process.

Apparently, Jeb Bush doesn't appreciate the person that illegally gave his brother W the presidential reelection, in much the same way, Republicans plan to control Florida Mid-term Election results.

why shouldn't she oversee the recount? The Rs have had no issue with her for a very long time. Her constituents haven't either, apparently.

Criticism of the ballot is justified, following the RW attack on an elected Democrat, an African American woman, is not.

Keep in mind Jeb Bush appointed her prior to the last Florida voting fiasco. Then, powerful Republicans left her in control of voter recounts. Now, we see even worse voter-recount trouble, in Florida.
Do you remember when Florida, Electoral-College votes helped put Bush back in office?
What did Jeb do, while the earlier recount was in progress?
No matter what happens, Trrump-punks can blame it on an African American Democrat!
Isn't this all much too convenient?

Yes she has been re-elected because many did not know that she was selected by Bush after the 2000 election and before the 2004 election. Also, she has a D next to her name on the ballot.
Ever since Ms. Snipes took over Broward county's elections, there has been issue after issue. The league of women voters tried to have a conference with her, to come up with solutions to the problems we have been having and she blew them off. She was caught having a secret meeting with the Republican secretary of state after her 2016 ballot fiasco. She ignored the advise given about not placing choices directly below vertical instructions on the ballot and may have cost Nelson the election. She listens to nobody.
I hope Broward Democrats will finally wake up and elect someone who was not selected by a Republican to run our elections.

Thanks for your reply. Did you remember to recommend the Opening Post?
BTW, Freepers were about to try frying the Ghost again on this Opening Post.
Do you know what a Freeper is and how and where I not only trap them but also - most likely - get FISA Warrants sworn out on them and their associates?
