On Vote Suppression in the 2018 Georgia Gubernatorial Race: A Sonnet

How now shall we, our votes suppress'd,
Through darkest deeds by Kemp, corrupt,
Who blocks the wishes we have express'd
At ballot-box? Shall we erupt
In fury, a-wailing, yet impotent
To exact a price full fair?
Or shall we deal this irritant
A telling blow, and yet with flair?
Oh, Lady S., we thee beseech,
Rise to battle, bring sword and shield
To the sweet land of the peach.
And when Kemp's beaten, when he has kneel'd
To beg for life, to beg for succour,
Please (figuratively) behead the fucker.
