Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI think both McConnell and Schumer should be replaced in leadership.
But I do not think Nancy Pelosi should step down at this time.
In my opinion, McConnell should step down, or be challenged, for failing to see even the possibility of a crisis, or even caring. In either event, he is incapable of leading at this time. He should step down.
Senator Schumer has failed to make any progress at all, and whether his fault or not, that is the reality. Has he even tried to communicate at all with Mitch McConnell. We must have communication. That alone is reason to give someone else a chance.
Just my opinion.

(50,949 posts)1. Agree on all counts. And Schumer is my Senator. Will always vote for him, but I
find him a little too fond of the "strongly worded letter" approach.

But not just for change sake.

If it is one's job to find common interest with Mitch McConnell, then it might not matter whose job that is, since it is doomed.
