That's exactly why he's there. I don't think the goal was to ever fire Mueller. The goal is to have a mole in the position of oversight on the Mueller investigation. While it is likely that Whitaker is too much of a numbskull to actually do the job of AG, he's probably capable of telling the Shit Stain what Mueller has on him...and it could be why Shit Stain is in such a foul mood of late and why Jr, Corsi and Stone think their time in the barrel is at hand.
