Melania's hotel bills - Is she billing taxpayers for the hotel's best wine and liquor, to take home?

I was reading the latest stories on the nearly $200,000 on hotel bills in Canada, though Melania didn't spend the night.

Which reminded me of her outrageous hotel expenditures for a day trip to Cairo.

And then I thought of something Michelle Obama just revealed on Jimmy Kimmel's show, when she mentioned that most people don't realize the First Family has to pay for their own food and drink in the White House.

The White House staff will get the family anything they request, but the president is billed for it.

But if a hotel's best wine or liquor is ordered from room service by the president or First Lady...

I think this ought to be looked into, frankly. Regardless they are bankrupting us, beyond Trump, Melania and all the kids' travel. There surely must be some way to reign it in....

I think she went shopping and they are hiding her expenses as official expenses.

Especially since she went hotel hopping.

something expensive ordered directly from room service. Or to hide from other people, including possibly media, in those shops.

Melania could easily spend many thousands of dollars on the priciest bottles of wine. And maybe some caviar. Just picking up a few treats for the Trumps' private parties over the holidays...

Hard to me to imagine the billings even at the most expensive places.

Is Melania renting entire floors, ordering $5000 bottles of wine, and having spending sprees at luxury shops on the premises?

Stumbled across this. She doesn't have trouble spending taxpayer money, does she?

First lady Melania Trump's flights during a three-month period in early 2017 cost more $676,000 dollars. These flights took place while Melania lived with her son Barron at Trump Tower in New York City before moving into the White House in June.

The cost of these flights, which were conducted by the Air Force, cost about twice as much as former first lady Michelle Obama's annual private travel costs.

On top of these flight expenses, Melania's security detail at Trump Tower cost between $127,000 and $146,000 a day.

Although the records request only covers three months of this period, Melania still racked up quite a tab, taking flights between New York, Washington, DC, and Palm Beach, Florida, where she would fly to spend downtime in Trump's Mar-a-Lago club.

The only way to spend that kind of money at a hotel is to hit the boutiques. She’s buying jewelry and designer dresses. Some of the fanciest stores for both are at luxury hotels.

If she’s letting the taxpayers pick up the bill she belongs in jail.

Since Trump took office it’s been open season of the US treasury. We’re (the taxpayers) are probably paying for Melania’s new diamonds and Dior dresses. This should be a scandal, but they’re robbing us blind in so many other ways it won’t be a blip.
