I don’t think we’ll have this again to this extent,” says @POTUS. “Hopefully this is going to be the last of these because this was a really, really bad one.”

“This is very sad to see,” adds @POTUS. “As far as the lives are concerned, nobody knows quite yet.”

often held for decades, and no amount of proof will cause him to change his mind.

I remember reading about when the Joint Chief of Staffs set up and executed a very carefully thought out plan to schmooze and gently guide him to a point where he could accept the truth they needed. It was staged in an elaborately rich Pentagon room suitable to his and their great stature and executed with elaborate display of respect and admiration for his superior brain. Didn't work. At all.

Fwiw, though, he's gotten plenty of harsh blowback from professionals about his comments, including pithy educational comments about climate change.

AAAAHHHHHHH!!!

He said, "Finland has the same problem with trees and forests and raking would help. Finland takes its forest floors so they don't have these problems"...I am not making it up!

I finally agree with him on something...he SHOULD be committed (in a mental ward with a straight jacket).

That's the solution. Why didn't anyone think of that before? It's so simple!

The next one could be twice as bad. Who the hell knows the way climate change is going?? The miserable POS just wants a photo op for his next reality show episode "Don As Consoler-In-Chief."

They're just 'the lives', after all ... not HIS, or anyone HE KNOWS, so ... how important can they BE?

So, yeah, no additional FUND or RESOURCES to maybe try to possibly find/help the 1000-ish missing 'LIVES' or anything like that.

This was just real bad, and as far as 'the lives' go ... we'll just have to wait and see ... nothing I as the most powerful person in the Known Universe ... can really DO at this stage.

what he's looking at. He cannot think beyond the moment. That's one of the things about memory loss and dementia that anyone who is around people with those disorders recognizes. My mother has advanced senile dementia. She can sound perfectly lucid one minute and completely unaware of what is going on the next.

That's where Trump is, at least to some degree. It seems pretty advance to me, really. He cannot relate to the human side of that fire in any way, and has no understanding of the factors behind it. He thinks that preventing fires is like keeping a golf course neat and tidy. I doubt that he's ever been in a forest, actually, and can't even conceive of it.

He's dangerous, because he's no longer fully connected with reality, if he ever was.

He has always been a narcissistic, sadistic sociopath. Those personality disorders can't be fixed easily and usually not at all. Even if you really wanted to change no meds can help and intense, long term therapy produces very limited results. Now some dementia may be adding to these previous mental issues and the added stress of the job, on top of his many personal criminal enterprises and investigations, makes him a dangerous person to be in charge of the country. Definitely NOT a good combination of serious disorders for a US president to have while in office.
