40%?! How does he even have 20% approval?

Last edited Tue Nov 20, 2018, 04:06 PM - Edit history (1)

His approval hovers around 40%, why is it even half that?
He disepects veterans and the military fallen on Veterans Day. He shows no sympathy for the victims in California. He takes the side of dictators over his own country (Putin, Kim and now MBS) He lies repeatedly on a daily basis, and when not lying shows himselfto be just plain ignorant.
Are there really that many stupid, hateful people in this country?

It is all very simple. Just like his pack of deplorables, he hates brown people. He hates non-Christians. He hates anyone who isn't heterosexual. He hates foreigners. He hates all the right people for the deplorables. Deplorables would gladly eat out of the dumpster and live in their cars if it meant the gleeful contentment brought on by the destruction of the vast array of people they hate for being different from themselves.

starting w/the civil rights era, Dixiecrat-ish white voters fled to Nixon and Ronnie who gave them dogwhistles, but Trump shouts it loud and proud what they want to hear, the way Wallace did.

IOW, Trump is the first truly 'culturally red' president... also why it's not possible to get most of these voters back because they're finally 'out of the closet' with who they really are, and feel emboldened.

They think Dems are worse than trump because they believe billionaire lies from the rightwing media. They believe the caravan is a threat and they believe Trunp is going to give them a middle class tax cut. Both are huge lies, but that’s what Fox says.

There is a huge propaganda gap between left and right.

And they lack humility about it. Faux News capitalizes on this emotional aspect by appealing to their desire to be in on “what’s really going on,” based on what I’ve observed. And it serves them up convenient scape goats in dramatic story form.

1. Low unemployment. When people have jobs, they are too busy to worry.

2. 401-K's. Working people are happy about their 401-k portfolio's since election 2016.

If either of them go south, and as sure as economy always has dips,
then his ratings will dip very quickly as well.

They have been programmed to believe conspiracy theories and to reject anything that comes from real news sources.
It's sad really.
They might have been reasonable people if their minds hadn't been hijacked by the right wing sludge media.
They are completely isolated from truth and so have no means to judge it objectively.

Here's an interesting article with an example of a woman who lives in Nevada.

Limpballs, Coulter, et al. have taken demonizing "the left" to new levels and have been doing it for DECADES. I have a 30-something former neighbor who is convinced "libtards" want to destroy SS and Medicare. He's grown up on FUX "News' and there's NO reasoning with him. He's convinced Drumpf is the great protector of these programs. This guy spends a lot of time on social medial and posts some of the dumbest things I've ever seen. I finally unfriended him because I couldn't take the stupidity. This is just one guy -- there are A LOT more out there like him.
