Katie Tur just had a large segment on Climate Change
She talked about climate change and interviewed a scientist and referred to articles about it. It was a good segment and I just wonder why the hell reporters and news media have dragged their feet on this for YEARS!
Climate Change is news and has been since at least Al Gore released his documentary at the beginning of this century.
The media were hugely instrumental in educating people during the 20th Century about The deadliness of tobacco, the evils of spewing industrial pollution into the atmosphere, the destruction of the ozone layer due to sprays, the deadly use of insecticides like DDT, the deadly effects of overpopulation which reduced the number of children most American families had to the point that at one point in time there were a year or two when the population growth in the US was zero. The results of the media doing this is that all these examples were fixed and the dangers were reversed.
The media has been criminally derelict on the issue of Climate Change for the entire span of the 21st Century. They have treated it like it’s nothing more than a matter of opinion. They have been wrong. Climate Change is news! Life altering, planet destroying NEWS!!
I’ve been spitting mad about this for decades! But if the media starts doing it’s job of informing then we have a chance. If not then we are doomed.

It seems to me that Californians are more "woke" to climate change and are more willing to talk about it. I'm sure she had to fight her bosses to get this on the air too. Smart woman, and she's doing a great job!
As for someone claiming it’s a ratings killer, what the hell do they think subjects like pollution, deadly insecticides, overpopulation and smoking are? Fun topics!
