The Trump Foundation functioned as little more than a checkbook to serve Mr. Trumps business and political interests. There are rules that govern private foundations, and we intend to enforce themno matter who runs the foundation.

(7,410 posts)NY is asking for 2.8 million dollars and dissolution of the charity. I wish they would find something to charge someone with.

(26,291 posts)something might be discovered that turns it into a criminal case then otherwise it would be easier to just settle it rather than argue with the state.

In It to Win It
(8,250 posts)There was a lawsuit against my former employer one of her decisions led to my former employer's eventual bankruptcy. At the time, I was generally in charge of the company's legal strategy but in that particular case, the CEO took the reins from me. My goal would have been settling but the CEO was convinced that we were going to win and I wasn't so convinced. We were up against another firm that was far bigger and had fatter pockets. I was convinced that the case would go on until we either lose or run out of money. The company ran out of money. On the upside, that led to me starting my own firm.
Anywho I'm saying all this to say this judge is a hard ass and I'm ok with it!
