Did Donald Trump know beforehand about the plans to assassinate Khasoggi ??

Perhaps this is just my personal conspiracy theory?

But, I would not be surprised if that were the case. The new Crown Prince is very close to Jared Kushner, and by extension, Donald Trump. He is the new leader in Saudi Arabia. Any deals must go thru the new Crown Prince.

Did Donald Trump help the Saudis in locating Khasoggi? How would they have known to send a hit squad of 15 assassins to Turkey to take care of their little problem, the enemy of the people? There was likely an inside source assisting them?

Also, Khasoggi was kicked out of Saudi Arabia, not because of his written comments about the Saudis, but because of what he had to say about Donald Trump. And an enemy of Trump would have been an enemy of the new Crown Prince.

I have no sources for this theory but I do not find it totally unbelievable.

Btw, Lawfareblog.com is shocked that someone in the CIA or elsewhere would burn its sources by revealing this top secret information: "I understand their motivation—the aberrance of Donald Trump is so great that they have no faith in his ability or willingness to process intelligence analysis faithfully. I share their concern—in spades. But violating norms of behavior and the criminal law is not the way to ameliorate the problem. And make no mistake—this disclosure of classified information to the Post reporters is almost certainly a crime by whoever leaked it."

The leak supports your contention in my mind. The U.S. has a well established policy of warning targets they're in danger. We even have formal procedures and a numbered government form for the warnings. Media speculation about the executive branch's role mostly disappeared after the first couple of days, but only an order from someone of sufficient authority would keep the standard warning procedure, which does not require instruction from the top, from being carried out. And Trump was not informed only if he held his hands over his ears and babbled loud noise to block out the information during his morning briefing and any other time someone brought it up.

Mr. Khashoggi was a permanent U.S. resident and Washington Post journalist. Of course he should, could and under any other administration would have been warned and returned safely to the U.S.

WaPo says bipartisan congressional support for arms sales to Sawdi Arabia has plummeted and resistance continues to grow. "The defense industry’s typically aggressive lobby has gone quiet..."

"In the House, lawmakers are signing on to several proposals that would curtail Saudi deals, including one offered by Rep. Jim McGovern (D-Mass.) that would mandate updates on the investigation into Khashoggi’s death before any new military sales to Saudi Arabia could be considered."

If the intel people are called before the House investigation I wouldn't be surprised if they had intercepted the prince's calls to trump and to others , and they told trump before he was murdered about their plot, and he did nothing, but threaten the intel it was top secret and there would be hell to pay if they exposed him. But they will if it happened. Was this done for trump? Kashoggi was banned by the Saudi's for being critical of trump also. and jared met with the prince right before mercenaries rounded up all his opposition them for him. Did jared and trump give the prince intel information on his opposition? Were mercenaries hired by trump? Eric Prince involved in any of this? The truth I expect to come out , and show they both hand their hands dirty. Jared has to be shaking in his shoes now. The prince is very, very corrupt and violent.

but has anybody done a poll on what the average American thinks about it?

My guess is that most people don't see it as affecting their lives, thus, they really don't care much about it.

...he was informed about it...but didn't give a shit. As he didn't think it would affect him.

Now he realizes he fucked up. But can't do anything about it because, its the Saudi's funding him and Putin is not going to come through with another election hack (thinking Putin promised the EU that this was a one time deal to massage their fears...hence, why we don't see any outrage from their side). So he's clinging to the Saudis to get out of a mess.

He not only knew but gave the prince his blessing to carry out the hit.

there is no way in hell it would have been done without the blessing of Trump himself.

The prince even imitated Trump's language "the media is the enemy of the people."

It's not just coincidence The Don is the customary title given to mob bosses and
we literally have a mob boss in the White House.
