Goodlatte was asked why they wanted Comey to testify in private.

He said two things. First, because other potential people that could be called in wouldn't hear what was said. To which I ask, what difference does it make since their time is up. They won't be controlling investigations once the new House term begins.

But, what was really interesting, he said that prosecutors would be asking the questions and that is better than a public review where the Congress people are only given five minutes to make their inquiries and that's not enough time to dig deep into an issue.

So I ask myself, is this Republican adding to our case that Kavanaugh's hearing was hamstrung at the beginning by the Senate hearing rules?
