"'Morning Joe" co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough married Saturday evening in a secret ceremony at the National Archives in Washington D.C., Vanity Fair reports. The media power couple, who got engaged in Antibes, France last spring, were wed in front of the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights according to the magazine. The quiet ceremony is in keeping with their notoriously discrete relationship. The pair, sometimes described with the portmanteau Scarzinski, dont discuss their personal lives on their morning news program which in Vanity Fairs view, lent the duo an unexpected celebrity air, rendering them a sort of Branjelina of the political-media in-crowd. President Trump offered them the opportunity to have their nuptials at The White House. They reportedly said no.

(102,495 posts)Either that's a lie, the two are still playing "both sides", or Trump is insane enough to still think he can manipulate that easily....

(13,078 posts)and i think it was a great idea, given who they are:
We did an event there more than a year ago and we were just blown away, seeing all these documents and how we felt seeing them, Brzezinski told me before the ceremony, explaining how they settled on the rotunda in the Archives, with its 70-foot ceilings and those three historic documents framed behind glass, as the place where they wanted to marry. It makes sense now more than ever, given what we stand for as a couple, what we do for a living, and what were worried about as a country.
I've really enjoyed watching them the past few months. It was great to see how he's come around and together they continue to cover the worrying events (putting it mildly) that unfold on a daily basis in a bipartisan fashion. He's become more centrist and has taken on a much more unifying/reasoned tone. Congrats to the happy couple. It's not as if we didn't know of their relationship but they did a great job keeping their personal lives under wraps till they tied the knot.

(70,635 posts)Those documents that Scarborough pissed all over in his work in
stopping the counting of people's votes in bush v Gore during
the Florida 2000 election theft?
Every time I see Scarborough his actions in Florida 2000 come into
my mind. And as per me nothing will wash away that stain on his
being.

(5,530 posts)Good guests on their show .... if Scar would ask a short question and let them answer. Mika rarely finishes a sentence before Scar shuts her up. Congratulations.
