trump just said at his rally that "we want people coming into our country for merit....."

Yeah, just like Grandpa trump, who came into the US because he was deported from Bavaria for dodging his mandatory military service.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_Trump

"Soon after the family arrived in Germany, Bavarian authorities determined that Trump had emigrated from Germany to avoid his military-service obligations, and he was classified as a draft dodger. On 24 December 1904 the Department of Interior announced an investigation to expel Trump from Germany. Officially, they found that he had violated the Resolution of the Royal Ministry of the Interior number 9916, an 1886 law that punished emigration to North America to avoid military service with the loss of German citizenship. In February 1905, a royal decree was issued ordering Trump to leave within eight weeks due to having emigrated to evade military service and failing to register his departure with the authorities. For several months, Trump petitioned the government to allow him to stay but he was unsuccessful.

He and his family returned to New York on 30 June 1905."

Melania only came over to be photographed while parading around nude in high heels. . . And her parents? I can't imagine WHAT kind of merit they had. . .

The Trumps have been yellow for generations

Think the sons won't cut a deal with Mueller? Their stupidity might but I question their intestinal fortitude. They're each apparently worth hundreds of millions. For tax evasion reasons, they're likely worth something - enough that they do not need Daddy to survive.

7. I don't think they're worth that much. A few years ago Trump was bankrupt for about the 5th time.

What has he done since then to make any money? His casinos on the Board Walk in Atlantic City, all were foreclosed upon and the people in Atlantic City hate him. They say Atlantic City was a thriving place until he bought up all those hotels and then ran them into the ground.

He licensed his "BRAND" on a bunch of hotels and Condos many in foreign countries. Many of those hotels/condos have subsequently removed the Trump name from their properties. The ones he built himself in New York that Ivanka was marketing turned out to be inferior units and they had difficulty selling them. They had to lie about the number of condos sold to try and sell any, and some people who did buy were suing them for fraud.

His most recent project, that was formerly the DC Post Office, is a lease. And he owns a lot of golf courses around the world of which they say golf courses are notorious for being "money eaters", and not necessarily "money makers". I believe he has borrowed money from the Saudis because we know that Jared borrowed money from them, and there's no way in HELL, that Trump didn't borrow some as well. I can't wait for that whole family of grifters are behind bars for fraud.

9. The bankruptcies were of businesses - not Trump

and they can be used to line Trump's pockets - which some allege they were.

I agree that what they're going to find is the Trump family net worth is a big mirage. That places like Russia and Saudi Arabia helped keep it afloat when the US banks turned him down because he was over leveraged and in serious cash flow trouble.

If and when they look into his finances, I think they'll find it riddled with inconsistencies, illegalities and tax evasion.

His US holdings will probably implode. But he's probably got money stashed all over the world in places that either cannot be found (like Nevis), tax havens (like British Virgin Islands) or cannot be touched (like Cook Islands, pensions, trust funds). The foreign jurisdictions will limit what the IRS can know about or recover.

So it is very unlikely they'll starve to death unless they can't handle prison food.
