So, did Manafort lie to Mueller to divert the investigation?

I have a bad feeling that this a huge set back. The fact that Manafort was a key witness, now can be dismissed as someone that can't be trusted? Did Trump or Putin get a message to Manafort? Or, whatever Manafort has in mind, it is a crucial point to not take likely. I do think Mueller will prevail, but have to wonder how this will end? Trump has many devious ideas and I think he or one of his goons will find away out of this! That was why taking back the Congress was so important and will hope halt Trump in his tracks?

and can probably prove it means that Manafort, who could have been helpful, is a) not needed to prove the case and b) just cooked himself hoping to get the promised pardon.

I am relieved that any liar is identified, and treated accordingly under the law. A person who lies his entire life is unlikely to suddenly tell the truth. Mueller knew this and was prepared for the possibility. I remain confident that Mueller will find the truth.

He's a piece of shit. You know, the sort of person trump would hire.

I doubt that Mueller's case needs these creeps to testify. What they did is tell Mueller which rocks to look under.

Mueller's presentence report to the court on Manafort will specify exactly what Mueller's lies were and how Mueller knew they were lies. Were there tapes, emails, etc? It could be that Mueller had everything he needed without Manafort and that Trump answered his questions with the same lies as Manafort did. We shall see.

They've got to be freaking out. Trump is in fact freaking out on Twitter, again. They thought they had their story and alibis all aligned with Manafort... and then provided their own testimony (the questionaire) based on that. Now that it's revealed that Mueller knew Manafort was telling lies. Thus Trump was likely telling lies too. But which ones? They don't know yet until Mueller reveals them. Trump and his lawyers must be freaking over all the answers they gave - knowing very well that they'll be busted on some. They're freaking. It's hilarious.
