We spent billions of taxpayer $$$, 1000s of lives so Iraqis could have a democracy & vote.

Voting is such a wonderful freedom in the good ole' USA, we had to spread democracy around the world....
to hell with the cost to us or to the Iraqi people, altho this picture makes me smile:

Don't forget the hundred thousand people who died and the million displaced.

Don't forget the bitter cynicism from which that society was born.

And don't forget the oil wealth that's basically paying for what little stability they have accomplished.

and call it a "Democracy". Before we got there, Iraqi women had rights. Not any more. Cute picture, though, for what it's worth.
