The briefing was the first one that the White House has held in a month, but that wasnt enough for the network to give Trump and his Press Secretary an open platform to lie.

if man didn't need to lie, they never would have invented language
we learn what they want us to believe
and are able to conclude why
they telegraph their intentions
but this really does get stupider and crueler everyday

(90,677 posts)I've hoped for some time that the news agencies would agree to delay the crazy pronouncements long enough to analyze them and extract what is pertinent, including debunking the lies.

(31,109 posts)All prior administrations had their way of making sure their priorities were highlighted, and the W and Reagan administrations lied often, but till now we did not have to question every single word they said, even though my friend G Carlin said we did, he meant it in a slightly different way compared to what we have now.
