In a wide-ranging interview, President Donald Trump confronted why he's voiced skepticism on a climate change report issued over the Thanksgiving Day weekend, telling the Washington Post "I dont see" the devastating climate change effects warned about in the report.
"One of the problems that a lot of people like myself, we have very high levels of intelligence,
but we're not necessarily such believers," the president said of climate change.
"As to whether or not its man-made and whether or not the effects that youre talking about are there, I dont see it" Trump said.
He also used the discussion to segue into the California wildfires and forest maintenance.

(4,558 posts)The best university level course I ever had the privilage to take was critical thinking.
When we do regain full control again, it is imperative that we make education our TOP priority, and among the changes, we really need to add critical thinking courses to high school required cirriculum. Foreign propaganda, and campaign soft money lose their power with an educated electoriate that is trained in how to look past the misinformation, and drill down to the truth.

A brain fart is not a stroke of genius.
Having high levels of gas isn't the same as having a high level of intelligence.
Though with the way you sling shit I can see how you would be confused by it all.

(9,245 posts)So he instead claims he "doesn't believe" it.
And why? Because his campaign, and other GOP campaigns get millions upon millions of dollars for their elections/re-elections from FOSSIL FUEL INDUSTRY and Koch bros. They are literally BEING PAID to deny climate change in order to protect corprat bottom lines.
That's why.
MEANWHILE, CNN and other media are allowing political pundits and climate change denying talking heads to accuse climate scientist of that same thing ie: getting paid to say climate change exists. They claim climate scientists are getting filthy rich off of their studies and that it's all a Chinese hoax!
PROJECTION: They use it because it works and our McGreedia helps them.

(11,885 posts)And is doing it for payoffs for policies from campaign contributions they probably funnel into their own pockets with. He's pulling a flint Michigan on the country, where another business man destroyed the water in Flint for greed, only trump is doing it on a national scale to all of us now. We'll see rising cancers, and health issues caused from trump and his and the gop policies harming our environment. He could care less about the people, and their health, and for him its only about money, for himself.
